| Shopping on the Costa del Sol, is best experienced by strolling around the individual towns. Here you can amble at your own pace and discover hidden shops off the main thoroughfare. Bear in mind Siesta time when many are closed and reopen again for the late afternoon shopping. Here are some of our recommendations for the region: La Cañada Laguna Village Marbella Marina Banus Puerto Banus Markets on the Costa del Sol La Cañada La Cañada is situated on the Marbella bypass and is the largest shopping centre on the Costa del Sol. It has 150 shops and offers plenty of parking as well as buses and taxi ranks. La Cañada has numerous restaurants, tenpin bowling, multiplex cinema and a large gymnasium. On the same site is also a huge electrical store and Leroy Merlin for all your DIY materials. There are fashion and accessory stores, designer shops, homeware stores, jewellery to name but a few. It also houses a huge supermarket in which you can buy almost anything. This complex is a shopper’s paradise and opening hours are Monday to Saturday 10am – 10pm and in summer months it is open on Sundays - back to top Laguna Village Laguna Village, an up-market and stylish shopping arcade which is situated between Marbella and Estepona next to the 5 star Kempinski Resort Hotel, one of “The Leading Hotels of the World”. It offers ample parking and is the home to 28 excusive shops, restaurants, café and spa. Open all year round Laguna Village mixes taste and style with impressive architecture, tropical gardens - back to top Marbella ![]() La Canada Shopping Centre Marbella is best explored on foot by browsing the shops amongst the side streets and here you can find all the usual high class stores including jewellery, leather, department stores all set around a lovely parks and avenues. You should begin at Marbella’s main thoroughfare (Avenida Ricardo Soriano). This avenue is lined with the best shops and exclusive brands. If craft and gift items are more likely to be on your shopping list (and price range) then head to the Old Town. It has a fine selection of craft stores, art galleries and gift shops. Here you can buy ceramics and can enjoy exploring the narrow streets and find little shops tucked away. Stores in Marbella usually open at 9am. Some close at lunchtime and siesta time (1pm or 2pm) and then reopen at 4pm or 5pm. If they are open on a Sunday it maybe for only a limited time - back to top Marina Banus Marina Banus, a fashion and leisure shopping centre located in the heart of Puerto Banus. It is arranged over two levels and also has restaurants. It is situated opposite El Corte Ingles department store. 24 hour parking is on hand at Marina Banus, with over 300 spaces and entrances located opposite El Corte Ingles. The first hour is free and every hour following is 1.50€. Marina Banus’s opening hours are Monday to Saturday 10am - 10 pm, and during July and August Monday to Sunday 10:30am – 10:30pm - back to top Puerto Banus The Marina area of Puerto Banus is home to exclusive and expensive designer shops such as Channel, Jimmy Choo, Bvlgari and many others.
